W dniach od 17 do 23 sierpnia odbywały się w Wieleniu warsztaty muzyczne Ponieckiej Dziecięco – Młodzieżowej Orkiestry Dętej Gminnego Centrum Kultury. Członkowie orkiestry przebywali w Ośrodku Wczasów Rodzinnych „Turów”.
Podczas warsztatów młodzi muzycy szkolili swoje umiejętności indywidualnie z instruktorami Agnieszką Bielicką oraz Tadeuszem Urbaniakiem oraz na zajęciach grupowych z kapelmistrzem Jarosławem Bielickim. Uczyli się nowych utworów przygotowując się jednocześnie do kolejnych koncertów. Oprócz nauki uczestnicy warsztatów organizowali koncerty oraz pokazy musztry paradnej dla włodarzy Gminy Przemęt oraz dla turystów przebywających w Wieleniu. Czas wolny orkiestra spędzała na wspólnych grach i zabawach z instruktorami oraz opiekunami. Podczas warsztatów muzycy mieli okazję poznać się bliżej dzięki organizowanym ogniskom oraz imprezom integracyjnym.
W ostatnim dniu pobytu OWR Turów zorganizował dla członków orkiestry wycieczkę kajakową. W czwartek 23 sierpnia po śniadaniu muzycy opuścili Wieleń, aby już 26 sierpnia wystąpić na dożynkach w Żmigrodzie.
