W dniu 4 maja br. w Poniecu uroczyście obchodzono święto patrona strażaków św. Floriana.

Z tej okazji w kościele parafialnym odprawiono uroczystą Mszę Świętą w intencji strażaków i ich rodzin. Następnie przy dźwiękach orkiestry dętej przemaszerowano na cmentarz parafialny, gdzie złożono wieńce i wiązanki kwiatów. Na zakończenie uroczystości wszystkich uczestników uroczystości poczęstowano tradycyjną grochówką. W uroczystościach udział wzięli strażacy ochotnicy, władze gminy Poniec oraz przedstawiciele zakładów pracy.
