Dnia 26.04.2007r. odbyły się ćwiczenia zgrywające jednostek OSP typu „ S ” z terenu gminy Poniec i Krobia. W ćwiczeniach udział wzięło 7 samochodów bojowych.   .

Ćwiczenia rozpoczęły się o godz. 1130 odprawą szkoleniową w Domu Strażaka w Poniecu, gdzie omówiono założenia taktyczne planowanego ćwiczenia. Następnie w trybie alarmowym jednostki OSP udały się do miejscowości Żytowiecko, gdzie w Zespole Szkół Szkoły Podstawowej i Gimnazjum przeprowadzona została część praktyczna ćwiczenia – gaszenie pożaru i ewakuacja osób zagrożonych z obiektu.  Ogółem w ćwiczeniach udział wzięło 45 strażaków ochotników z OSP: Poniec, Szurkowo, Łęka Wielka, Krobia, Gogolewo i Pudliszki. Organizatorem ćwiczenia była Komenda Powiatowa PSP w Gostyniu.
